Hello, I'm Peggy. I work with clients who are seeking compassionate support and a safe space to explore their thoughts, emotions, mental actions, and challenges to overcome roadblocks that are hindering their success. My approach is centered on providing a nurturing environment where you can feel heard and understood, allowing you to heal and grow at your own pace.
As a graduate of the University of Illinois – Springfield with a Master’s degree in Human Development Counseling, I have been working in private practice for over 15 years. In addition to being a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, I am also a Certified Functional Medicine Health Coach and a Certified Life Coach. I call myself a therapeutic coach, which means I help you heal from the past while helping you get to where you want to go in many areas of life.
If you are struggling with emotional eating, depression, anxiety, lack of motivation, overwhelm and stress, lacking in self-confidence, or just feeling bad about yourself, have relationship issues, feeling stuck in limiting beliefs or patterns, and more, I can provide the therapeutic coaching and the support & guidance you need to recover from what keeps you stuck while helping you achieve your goals.
I specialize in working with individuals dealing with antisocial behavior, developmental disabilities, addiction, anger management, anxiety, depression, eating disorders, grief/bereavement, life transitions, PTSD, sleep disorders, spirituality, and stress. Working with Margaret was nothing short of a God sent! Through Faithful Counseling she was immediately there when I needed it most. In working with a different therapist and company all together, and feeling like I was getting nowhere, Margaret showed up and put her knowledge to the test. Having her there and responding to my messages that I would send her made it more personal and we bonded better than any other therapist I worked with. She has tools that are amazing to help you when you are stuck on bad patterns. And if and when I need therapy again, she will be the therapist I will search for to help me. I recommend Margaret Dunn to be that person you need for healing!
