Margaret Lorenz, LCSW

Margaret Lorenz, LCSW

Psychotherapist
NY
All my life, I’ve gravitated to the kind of jobs where I could help others and support them while they dealt with the issues they faced. In over 20 years working as a Certified Professional Coach and Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I consider myself fortunate to work collaboratively with my clients, helping them face and resolve life’s challenges. I understand the anxiety and apprehension that often accompany starting therapy and developing this new relationship. When we work together, our first objective will be to make sure you feel safe, comfortable, and secure enough to share freely. Problems can feel heavy so having a place to express what you’re feeling, while also being able to experience some lightness, perspective, and humor are essential. We’ll define your goals for therapy, and make sure the strategies and interventions we use align with those goals. Starting with discovering your existing strengths, we’ll ensure you have the practical tools and skills you need to create the changes you want. Life is full of transitions. Some we welcome, some we don’t. I’m convinced there’s always a path out of any negative situation when we work together and find the right strategies for you to become the best version of yourself. If you have questions about mental health and therapy, and you like coffee and good conversation, I invite you to visit the Gooding Wellness YouTube channel where we talk about some of the most frequently asked questions about therapy.
