Psychotherapist
PA
Congratulations on starting your therapy journey. I am client-centered and collaborative; I adapt each session to listen to your unique needs and goals, and strive to create a safe and supportive environment where you can be at ease. I work mainly with women of all ages and specialize in life transitions and trauma. I welcome you to reach out whenever you are ready to begin. My approach I use a holistic psychodynamic therapy approach, strongly influenced by mindfulness and feminist thinking. This approach allows us to explore your past, unravel complex experiences, gain insights into behavior patterns, examine medication options if desired, and make life decisions that are beneficial and promote self-confidence. My focus Have you been struggling with life transitions, effects of trauma, and/or seeking support for self-esteem issues? I work mostly with women of all ages and walks of life to create a plan for growth that is empowering and achievable. My communication style I believe in client-centered therapy and am an active listener. I am curious, calm, and patient; I seek to be an empathic partner in exploration. I believe that you are the expert on you. My journey to mental healthcare I spent most of my life as a creative professional and artist. I returned to school for my MSW when I was an older woman. After graduating in 2015, I was a member of a hospice team for a few wonderful years. As a licensed clinical social worker, I became a psychotherapist to help others find their strength, confidence, and connect with meaning through life transitions and difficult challenges. My goals for you I believe that therapy is a collaborative co-creation. Together, we will identify and set goals that address concerns that matter to you. I am here to help you develop the tools and connect with the support you need to move closer to who you are.
