Psychotherapist

My treatment approach is individualized based on your personal story and what you hope to address. However, you can expect me to weave in practices from a few of my favorite theoretical approaches. I embody a person-centered approach, which means I will follow your lead the majority of the time when it comes to what you wish to discuss in each session, and provide guidance and support when you feel stuck. I often incorporate ideas and models from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). This helps us learn how certain actions and behaviors may be related to specific feelings and thoughts. With regular therapy, we can adjust automatic and negative thought patterns, allowing you to interact with yourself and others in a more positive, compassionate way. I also incorporate principles from psychodynamic theory as we reflect on past experiences and how they influence your present. Together, we will identify your attachment styles, which will help us better understand how you communicate and respond in relationships. By drawing on solution-focused theory, we will highlight ways you have already found success managing conflict and discomfort. I hold a Master's degree in Counseling Psychology from The Wright Institute and earned my Bachelor's degree from San José State University. These educational experiences have shaped my integrative approach to therapy, supporting my commitment to personalized care.
