Getting to know Margie Nemerovski
Margie Nemerovski, LMSW, received her Bachelor of Arts and Master of Social Work degrees from the University of Michigan. She has been practicing in the Ann Arbor and Ypsilanti areas for over 25 years. For the past 15 years, she worked for the University of Michigan Health System in various programs. She retired in October 2015 from the University of Michigan, just in time to join Emmaus Health. Margie is experienced in treating patients of all ages, with a special interest in anxiety disorders, depression, and trauma. She especially enjoys working with adolescents. Parents appreciate her support and guidance as she helps their children and teens overcome emotional and behavioral difficulties. For seven years, Margie worked for the Regional Alliance for Healthy Schools, providing psychotherapy to children and adolescents in University of Michigan Health Centers located in several local public schools.
Margie is a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church, where she plays cello in the praise band. She has four grown children and six grandchildren. In her spare time, she enjoys running, swimming, gardening, and traveling to warm climates to visit her children and grandchildren.
