What should a new client know about working with you?

I strive to create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where they can show up exactly as they are. I take a collaborative, strengths-based approach to therapy and believe that clients are the experts on their own lives. I draw from evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and Trauma-Focused CBT, to tailor treatment to each client’s needs. My role is to help you gain insight, build practical coping skills, and move toward goals that feel meaningful to you. I value authenticity, compassion, and humor when appropriate, and I tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Your first session is a chance to connect, ask questions, and begin shaping what you want out of therapy. We’ll talk through what brings you to this space, set initial goals, and make sure therapy feels like a good fit. I strive to create a supportive, collaborative environment so clients feel understood and hopeful about the process. My goal is for clients to leave the session feeling heard, supported, and clear on next steps. This is your treatment, and I will go at your pace with some gentle challenging along the way to guide you in developing the patterns that will lead you to meting your goals.
