Psychotherapist
MA
Margo Seiden is a pre-licensed provider working under the supervision of a licensed practitioner. Do you feel like there is a limit to what you have been able to accomplish with traditional talk therapy approaches? Are you interested in somatic or expressive approaches to therapy? The expressive arts offers a mind-body approach that helps to express the inner felt sense of emotion and sensation through visual artmaking. With training in somatic experiencing, along with expressive arts therapy, I offer trauma-focused somatic interventions to ground and move through the body's threat response, promoting a healthier nervous system and increased capacity to experience joy in daily life. I specialize in working with body-based and expressive approaches that help to process feelings that may not be feasible to talk through. By tuning into the felt sense, and exploring different means of self-expression, we will work towards building more confidence and ease. I also offer play therapy for children. If you would like to hear more, please reach out. I'm happy to answer any questions or concerns, so please don't hesitate to reach out!

What should a new client know about working with you?

I enjoy using arts-based and somatic therapy approaches with my clients. In our first session, we will discuss how these approaches might support you, and whether we are a fit for working together. I help my clients tune into the felt sense so that they can better identify how they are feeling and build up a capacity for healthy self-expression.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I work with clients who struggle to express their feelings. During our initial sessions, we will explore different approaches that can help attune to your felt sense in the body, as well as ways to develop healthy self-expression. Most of my clients notice that after working with me, they are able to access a sense of inner calm and quiet confidence that they hadn't felt before.
