My journey in psychology began with a baccalaureate degree in Psychology and Sociology from Wesleyan College in Macon, Georgia. I furthered my education with a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Florida International University in Miami, Florida, and a Doctorate Degree in Social Work from Howard University in Washington, D.C. Over the years, I've had the privilege of providing behavioral health counseling to children, adolescents, families, married couples, and individuals struggling with substance abuse. My experience extends to teaching at the university level, including positions at Kennesaw State University and Clark Atlanta University. I am passionate about conducting research on at-risk populations and hope to contribute further to this field. In my private practice, I offer mental health treatment with a unique spiritual twist. My therapeutic approach is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing, which I find effective in helping clients achieve meaningful change.
