Getting to know Maria Estante
As a seasoned OCD therapist, I offer a solutions-oriented approach to guide you through your therapeutic journey. I aim to help resolve any issues you're facing, whether anxiety, depression, stress, grief, or caregiver burnout.
Since 2019, my focus has been on OCD treatment, utilizing Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). In 2023, I underwent EMDR Basic Training and Flash Technique Training, equipping me to address co-occurring symptoms of OCD and PTSD. My aim is always to make substantial progress with a personalized approach in your treatment.
I hold a Master’s degree in Professional Counseling from Golden Gate University, which has provided a strong foundation for my clinical work.
I am committed to working closely with you, employing ERP and Habit Reversal Training (HRT) strategies to reduce obsessions and compulsions progressively. My therapeutic repertoire includes several modalities like Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, EMDR, ERP, the Flash Technique, HRT, Internal Family Systems, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing.
My clients range from individuals with neurodivergent issues, gifted learners, those managing life transitions, women dealing with mental health issues due to changes in family and career roles, to those adjusting to immigration/re-entry stressors.
I operate in the San Francisco Bay Area and hold licenses in California, Connecticut, Hawaii, Indiana, Massachusetts, Nevada, and Virginia. Plus, I am a registered Out-of-State Telehealth provider for Florida, South Carolina, and Vermont.
