Getting to know Maria Isabel Montalvo

Hi!! I am Maria Isabel Montalvo, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the State of Florida. I know it can be difficult to make the decision to start therapy or to choose the "right" counselor for you. I feel honored you stopped by to see if we might be a good fit together. Throughout my years of practice, I've worked mainly with people who have dealt with Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, and Personality Disorders, among other mental conditions. I enjoy talking to my clients and listening to their struggles, fears, dreams, and goals; but furthermore, to work on the solutions. I consider my job as a Counselor my calling in life, and I am deeply invested in my clients' well-being. I hold an EdD in Counseling Psychology from Barry University, which has enriched my approach and deepened my commitment to supporting my clients on their healing journeys.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
