I’m a social worker who studied at NYU and Columbia, which means I am trained with a holistic approach to mental health which covers all aspects of a person’s wellbeing, from the mental, physical, and social. Outside of my training, I’ve also been involved in research on women’s health issues. I used to be a teacher of Arabic, history, and other topics. Although I loved teaching, I knew that working as a therapist with clients like you is really where my passion lies. Therapy sessions with me look a lot like a conversation. I believe that you ultimately know yourself, and I am here to be a guiding source and facilitator within the room. Depending on your needs, I can provide resources to coping mechanisms, practices and tools to take outside of our sessions. I can also be someone who listens without judgment. Therapy can be nerve racking, so I am open to listening and changing things up depending on how you grow and what you need. I'm currently in-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield, Empire BCBS, Evernorth, Optum, United Healthcare, Aetna, Anthem, UMR, and Cigna. I am also an out-of-network provider.
