Getting to know Mariana Perez
Hello there, my name is Mariana, and I am here to help you reach your goals. Working in the mental health and substance use field for the past 10 years has taught me that healing does not necessarily come from one path. Based on the positive outcomes and feedback from those I have treated, I use an integrative healthcare approach. I assess the whole person-including body, mind, and spirit-in the context of community, considering lifestyle and habits. I work by looking at the whole person, not just symptoms. This allows us to identify and work on the challenges experienced throughout a lifetime.
I believe that wellbeing is a general state of "contentment" with life and the way things are. In this state of contentment, we experience a sense of balance and connection to a purpose. In my practice, I explore with you the main areas of wellbeing and the blockages that have been impeding you from reaching your best. I see therapy as teamwork between you and me, where you share your own experiences and I provide my clinical expertise to implement an individualized plan that works for you.
I can provide therapy in Spanish or English. I work mainly using teletherapy in the state of Florida. I am a psychologist in Colombia, South America, and a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Florida. I earned my Master's in Mental Health Counseling from Walden University. I am also certified to work with trauma and hold a certification to diagnose and treat personality disorders. Additionally, I am a qualified supervisor for graduate students seeking to obtain their master's degree in mental health.

I strongly believe that having a good rapport between therapist and client is very important for therapy outcomes.

More information on payments and coverage
Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
