She earned her Doctorate of Psychology from Xavier University in Cincinnati in 2008. She received her Bachelor's Degree in psychology from Ohio Northern University. She completed a pre-doctoral internship at Western State Hospital in Tacoma, Washington. She completed a post-doctoral fellowship at East Central Regional Hospital in Augusta. She has extensive training and experience as a forensic psychologist specializing in risk assessment. She has been recognized as an expert witness in the court systems in Georgia and South Carolina.

Most relevant

If you are struggling in an emotional crisis, this is not the therapist for you. I found Marie to be insensitive to what I was going through and quite detached from offering a sympathetic approach towards me. I actually left the session feeling worse than when I arrived. I felt as though Marie was attacking my personal decisions that I shared with her about a financial crisis as opposed to her dealing with what I expressed were my personal therapeutic concerns. She even stated that “I shouldn’t be okay because my life is in chaos”; which I found quite insensitive. Duh- I’m here for that very reason! I do not recommend her for clients who are more sensitive individuals because she does not have a friendly demeanor/bedside manner; but more of a drill Sargeant personality. She listens but it feels like she is disinterested. I would give her therapeutic approach a 2 out of 10 and I do not recommend. I would not see her ever again. Zocdoc do better with the selection of therapists. Please!
