Marie Rose Walters, LCSW

Marie Rose Walters, LCSW

Psychotherapist
FL
My focus as a therapist has been helping clients challenge experienced traumas and work toward inner peace and healing. Treatment goals center on developing a better understanding of the self as a person and one's role in society. Clients often come to treatment seeking stability and consistency in their journey and are open to a two-way dialogue regarding their needs. I provide individualized, trauma-informed treatment, utilizing cognitive processing therapy to help identify stuck points that interfere with day-to-day living. I offer a reflective listening style and challenge my clients to think critically. My approach is direct but warm and supportive, creating a judgment-free space focused on change. I earned my Master's in Social Work from Barry University, which has shaped my clinical perspective and commitment to compassionate care. I believe my strongest feature as a clinician is my focus on conversation. While skills are important to develop, dialogue is equally essential. I provide a safe space by offering nonjudgmental feedback and insight. Opening up as a client is not easy, and I strive to offer what I sought in my own treatment: a place of acceptance and healing. I work best with clients seeking meaningful change who are willing to engage actively in sessions. Therapy is a two-way dialogue, and feedback is expected both ways. I work well with those navigating life transitions and change, as well as individuals processing trauma or experiencing depressive symptoms. Additionally, I am experienced in working with diverse populations, including queer individuals seeking care.
