Getting to know Marie Stokey

I am a licensed mental health therapist with a Master’s in Mental Health Counseling from Indiana University and have been practicing for 12 years. I love working with clients of all backgrounds and primarily see my clients through teletherapy. I have experience working with clients ranging from children to adults, both in person and via teletherapy. I am comfortable addressing a wide range of therapy goals that my clients bring. I began my career working for a state agency and have since grown into my own private practice. I enjoy specializing in tools that help my clients resolve their trauma so they can live successful lives.

What should a new client know about working with you?

As an experienced therapist, I understand how difficult it can be to find resources to help those who are suffering from issues such as anxiety, depression, past trauma, abuse, forming and maintaining healthy relationships, etc.These issues can be difficult and I work on creating a collaborative relationship with my clients to help them have the tools they need to overcome some of these different roadblocks that are experienced in life.

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
