Getting to know Marilyn R Mclane
Marilyn Mclane, LMSW, ACSW, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and holds the Academy of Certified Social Workers credential through the National Association of Social Workers. She received her Master’s Degree in Clinical Social Work from Michigan State University in 2001. During her training, she completed an internship at Waverly Community Schools. Marilyn has clinical experience as a School Social Worker, working with children from kindergarten through twelfth grade, as well as with parents, teachers, and administrators. She has also worked as a Medical Social Worker with hospice patients and their families. Additionally, Marilyn has experience supporting individuals in domestic violent relationships. In her private practice, she works with individuals of all ages, parents, couples, and provides marital and premarital counseling. Her therapy approach is eclectic and client-centered, focusing on helping individuals work through issues such as depression, anxiety, stress reduction, grief and loss, relationship challenges, struggles in school, and parenting concerns. Marilyn’s goal is to empower individuals to make the necessary changes to improve their self-esteem, relationships, and to find peace and purpose in their lives.
