My name is Marine Soriano, and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in California. I earned my Master's in Counseling Psychology from Argosy University, Inland Empire. I am primarily a Person-Centered therapist; however, I incorporate other modalities as I see fit based on each individual and their needs. My primary areas of focus and expertise are working with individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, parenting, and family issues. My approach I am primarily a person-centered clinician, meaning I aim to empower you to take control of your life and decisions without judgment but with support. I also utilize strength-based techniques to help you discover your best qualities and guide you in learning how to use them to their fullest potential. My focus Although I have extensive experience working with children, I currently focus on adults experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma, mood disorders, adjustment disorders, and parents-especially mothers. My communication style I create a welcoming and warm environment for all individuals. I want you to feel comfortable, safe, and understood without judgment throughout your sessions. I am open to feedback, both praise and constructive criticism, and am willing to make necessary adjustments to ensure you get what you need from our time together. My journey to therapy As a middle and high school student, I faced difficult events that were hard to manage alone, and the support available was not as diverse as needed to fit my needs. In high school, my guidance counselor helped me recognize my biggest strengths and needs, and becoming a therapist felt like a natural fit. I have always been an empathic friend and am now an empathic therapist. My family, culture, and experiences drive me to continue this work, and I hope to make a meaningful impact on at least one person's life.
