Hello, I'm Marisa, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in North Carolina and Virginia. Life often throws unexpected obstacles our way, and navigating through different stages can be challenging. Whether it's relationship issues, feeling pulled in multiple directions, or carrying heavy burdens alone, it's easy to feel lost and overwhelmed. My approach to therapy is centered around you and your needs. I'm here to help you navigate those unexpected obstacles and find your way through them. I am trained in EMDR and incorporate foundations of cognitive behavioral therapy to address anxiety, depression, and trauma. Additionally, I use a solution-focused approach for situations that may not be as heavy but still require attention and care. My goal is to provide a safe and comfortable environment for you to process all of life's challenges. I believe our lives are composed of countless puzzle pieces, and my role is to help you sort out those pieces so you can continue to create your unique puzzle. I specialize in working with anxiety, children's mental and behavioral health, depression, family relationships, life transitions, military and veteran support, stress, trauma, anger management, PTSD, and intimate or romantic relationships.
