Starting college, beginning a career, navigating relationships, or simply figuring out who you are can bring a lot of change, as well as a lot of uncertainty. I provide a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you can be yourself, talk openly, and feel genuinely heard and understood. I especially enjoy working with college students, young adults, and people navigating their 20s, as well as adults at other stages of life. I support clients experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, stress, self-esteem concerns, and major life transitions. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure of your next step, therapy can be a space to make sense of what you're experiencing and find a path forward. My approach is collaborative and tailored to you. We’ll explore how your thoughts, emotions, and experiences influence the way you feel and respond to challenges. Together, we’ll work on recognizing patterns that may be keeping you stuck, developing healthier ways of thinking and coping, and helping you feel more in control of your thoughts and emotions. I believe therapy should feel like a partnership built on trust, compassion, and authenticity. My goal is to help you better understand yourself, strengthen your relationships, build confidence, and develop practical tools you can carry into everyday life. I am LGBTQ+ allied and strive to create an inclusive and affirming environment for every client. What should a new client know about working with you?

I believe therapy should feel like a genuine conversation and not a place where you have to have everything figured out. My style is warm, collaborative, and down-to-earth, and I’ll meet you where you are while helping you move toward where you want to be. In our work together, we’ll look at the thoughts and patterns that may be affecting how you feel, your relationships, and the way you respond to challenges. I’ll help you develop a better understanding of yourself and practical ways to feel more in control of your thoughts and emotions. You don’t need to know exactly what you need from therapy before you begin. We’ll figure that out together, at a pace that feels comfortable for you. My goal is for you to leave sessions feeling heard, understood, and equipped with tools you can actually use in everyday life.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Our first session is an opportunity to get to know each other, talk about what brings you to therapy, and identify what you’d like to work on. We’ll discuss your history and current challenges, answer any questions you have, and begin creating goals that feel meaningful and realistic for you. As we continue, I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) along with supportive, person-centered approaches. In practice, this means we’ll explore the connection between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors and identify patterns that may be keeping you stuck. We’ll work on developing healthier ways of thinking, coping with difficult emotions, and feeling more in control of your responses to everyday challenges. Sessions may include talking through current concerns, processing emotions, improving communication and relationships, managing anxiety or depression, and navigating life transitions. I also incorporate practical strategies and skills that you can use between sessions. Therapy is a collaborative process, so we’ll regularly check in on how things are going and adjust our focus as your needs change. My goal is for you to feel supported while also gaining greater clarity, confidence, and practical tools to move forward.
