Marissa Geraci, LPC

Psychotherapist
AZ
Hi there, I'm Marissa! I am a licensed counselor in AZ, FL, WA, and CT, with a Master’s in Mental Health Counseling from Argosy University. I guide clients to gain insight, clarity, and practical solutions to better navigate life. Together, we explore finding balance between feeling peaceful, living passionately, and having a sense of purpose. My approach I believe the quality of life improves by focusing on mind, body, and soul. Nothing changes if nothing changes. My purpose is to provide a relaxed, empathetic, trusting environment where you feel at ease asking for change. My focus I see clients for a variety of issues, currently focusing on anxiety, depression, grief, relationship issues, life transitions, and difficulty dealing with change. I do NOT see clients under 21, and I am not certified for addiction treatment. My communication style I have a relaxed, conversational, comfortable, and down-to-earth style. I call clients “clients,” not “patients.” I advocate using humor when appropriate and want clients to feel they are active participants—it’s not one-sided. My journey to mental healthcare My background is in finance. I’d always felt drawn to counseling, but it didn’t feel practical while I was in counseling myself. After 10 years in finance, I made the change. It was challenging, but I’ve never looked back and feel thankful every day to do what I do. My goals for you Clients often come with a goal, and I help them achieve and sometimes exceed it. Others come knowing something feels “off” but can’t articulate it. In those cases, we work together to identify goals.
