Psychotherapist
2101 Fox Dr, Ste 102, Champaign, IL
Hola! Do you ever feel like self-doubt is the only reflection you see in the mirror? Like no matter how much you accomplish or how hard you try, a quiet voice inside keeps asking, "Am I really enough?" You are not alone and you don’t have to navigate these feelings by yourself. As a queer-affirming, sex-positive, Spanish-speaking therapist and a first-generation child of immigrants, I understand the deep layers that identity, culture, family expectations, and resilience add to our experiences. Many of the people I work with are navigating trauma, cultural identity challenges, or the weight of family expectations.

What should a new client know about working with you?

In our work together, I am a compassionate guide, not a fixer. Trusting your inner wisdom and strengths, I am here to walk alongside you as you make meaningful changes that feel right for you. I draw from CBT, solution-focused and EMDR approaches to meet you where you are at while providing structure and accountability.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Therapy with me isn’t about "fixing" you, it’s about rediscovering the strength, beauty, and worth that have always been there, even if the world sometimes made you question it. If you’re ready to take that first step, I’m here to walk alongside you, in English or in Spanish, as you reclaim your voice and your future.

It’s really disappointing when you reach out for help with your struggles and it’s this hard to actually get support. Unfortunately, I feel that this office took advantage of me. During my first appointments, my therapist was late and kept texting that she was on her way. She even called me about fifteen minutes into the session—even though I specifically requested video calls. I didn’t ask for a refund or credit for the first two appointments; I let it go and tried switching to another therapist. The second therapist ended up canceling last minute on the day of my appointment and rescheduled. But when I had to cancel last minute, I was immediately charged a cancellation fee. I did receive a little guidance, but overall it felt like I was being pushed toward their own agenda rather than being supported in the way I needed. I truly wanted to like this place because I needed help, but based on my experience, the focus does not seem to be on the client.
