Hi, I’m Maritza Rodriguez, LCSW. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Bachelor of Social Work from La Sierra University and a Master of Social Work from Loma Linda University. For more than a decade, I have worked with children, adolescents, and families in a variety of behavioral health settings. I am also the founder of M.E.N.D. Center, a counseling practice dedicated to supporting children and their caregivers. I specialize in working with children ages 3–12 experiencing anxiety, behavioral challenges, emotional regulation difficulties, grief, trauma, family transitions, self-esteem concerns, and school-related issues. My primary approach is play therapy, which allows children to express themselves and work through challenges using their natural language—play. I also incorporate child-centered, strengths-based, trauma-informed, and cognitive-behavioral interventions as needed. My therapy style is warm, collaborative, and child-centered. I strive to create a safe environment where children feel accepted and understood. Sessions are tailored to each child's unique needs, and I work closely with caregivers to support progress both in and outside of therapy. Outside of therapy, I enjoy spending time with family, reading, and watching action and true-crime shows.
