Welcome! With much gratitude, I thank you for visiting my profile. My name is Maritza Solis, and I am a Bilingual/Bicultural Clinical Social Worker in Illinois. I hold a Master's in Social Work from Dominican University. I see and treat children ages 8 and up, adolescents, and adults, providing therapy in both English and Spanish. I enjoy working with parents and their children or adolescents to address parent/child relationship challenges. I also work with individuals seeking to explore and address their emotional, physical, and spiritual needs in therapy. In parent/child therapy, I collaborate with parents and their child or adolescent to identify the causes of distress or disruption in their lives. From there, we work together to create positive, long-lasting changes in daily routines and parenting techniques. I also work individually with children to teach them how to regulate and manage their emotions. My approach to therapy is holistic. We will discuss your emotional, physical, and spiritual health, and I focus on teaching coping skills, deep breathing, yoga, and relaxation techniques. When appropriate, I may recommend natural vitamins and supplements to support your healing journey.
