Marjorie Jean, LCSW, MSW

Marjorie Jean, LCSW, MSW

Psychotherapist
MD
Marjorie works with people who are used to holding it all together- those others rely on, who often show up as capable, thoughtful, and strong. On the outside, they may manage a lot with care and intention, while internally feeling overwhelmed, stretched thin, anxious, or exhausted. Many of her clients are deeply self-aware yet still feel stuck. Marjorie believes healing doesn't happen through insight alone. Using a holistic, body-oriented approach, she integrates Somatic Experiencing, EMDR, Brainspotting, DBT, and IFS to help clients move beyond survival mode and create more ease and balance.

What should a new client know about working with you?

New clients should know that working with me is a collaborative, supportive, and judgment-free experience. I believe that every individual has unique strengths and challenges, and I strive to create a safe space where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered. My approach is compassionate, client-centered, and tailored to each person's specific needs and goals. Together, we will explore concerns, identify patterns that may be contributing to difficulties, and develop practical strategies to support growth and well-being. I value open communication and encourage clients to actively participate in the therapeutic process. Whether you are navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship challenges, stress, or personal growth, I am committed to helping you build the tools and confidence needed to create meaningful and lasting change.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My process begins with getting to know you, your concerns, and what you hope to achieve through therapy. During our initial sessions, we will discuss your background, current challenges, strengths, and goals to develop a treatment plan tailored to your unique needs. As therapy progresses, we will work collaboratively to identify patterns, explore thoughts and emotions, and develop practical coping strategies that support your overall well-being. I use evidence-based approaches and adapt my methods based on what is most effective for you. Throughout the therapeutic process, I strive to provide a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where you can openly discuss your experiences. Together, we will monitor your progress, celebrate successes, and adjust goals as needed to help you achieve meaningful and lasting change.
