Getting to know Marjorie Rice

Hello, my name is Marjorie Rice. Are you looking for a dedicated therapist with experience working with individuals of all ages? Then I may be the right fit for your needs. I have been a social worker in Nashville, TN for seven years and am the mother of two adult children. My practice is open, diverse, and focused on meeting my clients where they are. I enjoy being creative in the modalities I employ, including but not limited to CBT, Trauma-Focused CBT, Mindfulness, Family Systems, and Solution-Focused Therapy. Whether you are struggling with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, LGBTQ challenges, or an unhealthy family dynamic, I am here to offer support as we work together to identify what’s not working and how to create change. I love sharing my passion for mindfulness techniques such as meditation, yoga, and grounding exercises. I am committed to providing quality mental health services through evidence-based practices.

What should a new client know about working with you?

During our sessions, we will begin by building trust and rapport. I want to learn about "you," your hobbies, your history, and what "you" have identified as your counseling needs. Once we have identified goals for counseling, we will establish a treatment plan and devise a realistic timeline for positive outcomes. Hopefully, I will leave you feeling safer, more supported, and with greater optimism for the future.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
