He uses this coupled with skills at teaching mindfulness and CBT techniques to facilitate replacing previous patterns of behaviors with consciously created positive change in their lives. Outside of therapy, Mark is a father, a soccer coach, a musician, and has done brick and tilework professionally. Before becoming a social worker, he worked as a commercial fisherman and in the field of research and statistics. He has lived in Maine, Virginia, Canada, and South Carolina. From a career spent learning to work with people in therapy, he offers a consistent, non-judgmental, therapeutic presence that affords the people the opportunity to create change and personal growth in their lives.
