Greetings, my name is Mark, and I have been working professionally with families and youth in the foster care system for over 14 years in various roles, including facility social worker, substance abuse counselor, and intern therapist. I earned my Master’s in Counseling Psychology from National University. What is your typical process for working with clients?

My theoretical approach includes; being Person Centered, Solution Focused, and utilizing the skills found in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. When we meet, I will be happy to explain what these theories are, how they work and what symptoms they are most effectively used to treat. Working with clients we co-create goals and objectives. I feel that you are the author of your own story, and I can assist as a guide on your journey to wellness. Some examples could be to; lower the frequency, intensity and duration of those issues that you find most challenging such as; stress, anxiety, and depression.
