Getting to know Mark Miller

Great to meet you! Are you ready to live better? If you struggle with anxiety, anger, stress, depression, grief, or have experienced trauma, I can help. I hold a Bachelor’s degree from Rutgers University and a Master’s in Social Administration from Case Western Reserve University. As a psychotherapist, I provide a safe and welcoming environment for you to process difficult experiences and ultimately heal and find peace. I offer individual therapy and often work with clients from the LGBTQAI+ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, queer+) community and those who have experienced trauma. Being a member of the LGBTQAI+ community has guided my journey through life. I deeply honor and embrace the diversity in sexuality, gender, and life experiences that my clients bring. A bit about my approach to therapy My counseling approach is grounded in evidence-based therapies, including cognitive behavioral therapy and trauma-informed care. I am committed to helping clients identify and challenge negative thoughts and beliefs while developing effective coping skills to manage their symptoms. My practice places a strong emphasis on promoting self-acceptance and resilience. I understand the unique challenges and emotional experiences that can accompany life transitions and trauma. Your mental health needs, healing, and empowerment are not just important but central to our work together. What you can expect from our first session I view therapy as a journey, one where my compassionate and non-judgmental approach empowers clients to navigate the healing process and work toward a brighter future. My goal is to help clients regain a sense of control, confidence, and authenticity, enabling them to live fulfilling lives fully aligned with their true selves. You and I will work collaboratively to explore your life experiences, thoughts, and emotions, and together we will find a pathway allowing you to reach your full potential.

This appointment was my initial visit with this provider. I interviewed three others before this appointment. This provider made me feel psychologically safe while helping me to make some immediate connections. He was compassionate, welcoming, and created the necessary space for growth - even in just one session.
