I'm Mark Virostek, and I have 36 years of experience working in behavioral health. I earned my Master of Science degree in Counseling Psychology from Georgia State University and have held active licenses to practice in Washington and Georgia for the past 22 years. I have decades of experience working with adults in the gay community, addressing depression, substance use, PTSD, bipolar disorder, anxiety, and stress management. My approach I use a variety of treatment modalities to help facilitate new awareness and begin resolving the issues in your life. These include Psychoanalytic Therapy, Gestalt Therapy, Reality Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, Humanistic Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and Person-Centered Therapy. My focus I work with adults in the gay community, treating depression, substance use, PTSD, bipolar disorder, anxiety, stress management, psychosis, life transitions, mood disorders, sexual abuse, and sexual addiction. My communication style I am very person-centered, meeting people where they are with compassionate, unconditional positive regard. I look at the whole person and the reality of their situation, helping them gain new awareness of their existence and how to make better choices to enhance their thinking, feelings, and behaviors.
