Psychotherapist
265 3rd St, 2nd Fl, Beaver, PA
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor who is compassionate and caring, providing unconditional positive regard and respect to all of my clients. I work with individuals and couples, focusing on adolescents and adults. My approach is eclectic, drawing from a variety of modalities, including cognitive behavioral therapy, reality therapy, and solution-focused methods, while meeting my clients where they are in their life’s journey at the present time. Over the course of my career, I have worked in outpatient, inpatient, and educational environments, including community settings, hospitals, nursing and rehabilitation centers, private practices, colleges, and universities. My primary professional roles in these settings have included counselor, consultant, case manager, mentor, therapist, social worker, supervisor, college professor, and faculty adviser. My areas of expertise include working with clients struggling with anxiety, depression, adjustment disorders, grief and loss, substance abuse, and trauma. Critical life transition issues often addressed in counseling include career and professional challenges, relationship difficulties, academic choices, and loss. Some of my most effective work happens when supporting clients who find themselves stuck during critical transitions in their lives. I work actively with each client as they explore options unique to them, ultimately experiencing transformative personal growth through the counseling process.
