I am delighted that you have encountered my profile and taken an active, courageous step in your healing journey. I bring a down-to-earth, approachable presence to therapy and place the utmost importance on fostering a warm, friendly, yet professional relationship with you. Developing a strong therapeutic alliance is the foundation that will support you as we explore pathways toward your healing, develop adaptive and functional coping skills, improve your emotional regulation, and help you experience a more fulfilling life, rather than just exist. Since there is no "one-size-fits-all" approach to therapy, I incorporate various evidence-based treatment modalities, techniques, and skills that best meet your individual needs. Professionally, I have 19 years of experience collaborating with individuals presenting with various treatment needs, such as past and current trauma, anxiety, depression, family and relational issues, parenting, life transitions, and life stressors. I hold clinical licensure in Illinois, Georgia, and Washington. I earned a Master’s in Forensic Psychology and a Master’s in Public Health from The Chicago School. I am accepting new clients for telehealth sessions and offer a complimentary 15-minute consultation call. I am deeply enthusiastic about walking alongside you, as your guide, on this important journey.

What should a new client know about working with you?

While I treat individuals from all socioeconomic, racial and cultural backgrounds, I have dedicated my career to providing quality therapeutic services and interventions to marginalized communities, including black single-mothers, black women and men that are justice-involved, and those that struggle with navigating the daily challenges faced by living in large, urban environments.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I use a 4-phase approach to the therapeutic process: Phase 1-Diagnostic Assessment, Phase 2-Treatment Planning, Phase 3-Active Treatment and Phase 4-Transition/Discharge. In each phase, we will collaboratively discuss your past, present and the vision of your future self.
