Psychotherapist

Starting therapy can seem intimidating, but you are already making a big step by exploring options and providers. Most people share that I am gentle in nature, easy to talk to, and am motivated to help others discover and access their best selves. I specialize in working with anxiety, depression, eating disorders, self-esteem and body image concerns, life transitions, grief, and trauma. I have a collaborative approach, where we will work together to achieve your desired results. I regularly check in with each person at the end of sessions, exploring effectiveness and plans for next appointments. I welcome you to reach out whenever ready. I am here to provide a safe space and listening ears. My approach I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to challenge negative and stuck beliefs and thoughts. I also use Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) skills to find balanced ways of thinking and increase distress tolerance and ways of coping. In every session, I use Person Centered Therapy, as the focus is on each person’s needs. Some enjoy skills-based therapy, while others would like someone to emotionally join and actively listen and explore thoughts and feelings. I am here to tailor and create an approach that best works for you, and I will ask about it at our initial session. My focus Are you an adult and have been struggling with anxious thoughts, overthinking, and planning for worst-case scenarios? Do you struggle with feeling sad, hopeless, struggle getting out of bed, and moments of tearfulness? Have you recently lost someone, or are you anticipating the death of someone? Do you struggle with self-esteem and disordered eating patterns? Have you undergone a trauma that you continue to think about and replay in your mind? Are you undergoing a large life transition, such as getting married or remarried, divorced, moving, starting college, becoming a blended family, growing your family, or are you pregnant?
