I bring over 20 years of experience working in a variety of clinical settings. I hold a Master's in Social Work from Yeshiva University's Wurzweiler School of Social Work and a Bachelor's degree from the University of Delaware. Additionally, I have advanced training in EMDR, trauma, marriage therapy, domestic violence, recovery from emotionally abusive or toxic relationships, and marriage and family systems through the Family Institute. My practice specializes in women's issues such as postpartum depression, motherhood, single women, dating, anxiety, depression, trauma recovery, relationship challenges, coping with divorce, and support during life transitions, as well as couples work. It is possible to break free of your emotional prison and heal from the past. What should a new client know about working with you?

Working with me… If you’re looking to come in, lie down on the couch, and have me say, “So, how do you feel about that?” or nod and “Hmmm” repeatedly, I may disappoint you. Our sessions will be an interactive process – sometimes it will feel like you are talking to a long-lost best friend. We will both roll up our sleeves to problem-solve practical solutions to complicated situations. I’ll often use stories and a sense of humor to make a point, but it will be intense at times – tough. Making actual progress is challenging! It’s ok to get emotional. It’s ok if you get angry, sad, or overwhelmed. That means the process is working. I’ll never tell you it’s easy – it’s not supposed to be. Anything worthwhile takes work and effort. Unfortunately, I don’t have a magic wand. The goal is not to keep you in therapy forever and become co-dependent. I want you to gain the skills to conquer life’s challenges on your own. Everyone is different, and the therapy duration varies. It all depends on you. Making actual progress is challenging! It’s ok to get emotional. It’s ok if you get angry, sad, or overwhelmed. That means the process is working. It all depends on you. I'll partner with you so that you'll feel heard, understood, and noticed. By gaining a greater understanding of how the past traumas affect the present, you'll acquire insight and concrete coping skills to move forward. Finding more balance in life can help you to achieve the renewed sense of motivation and confidence you deserve.
