UpLift Behavioral Health providers do not issue prescriptions for substances controlled by any federal or state agency or other drugs that may be harmful because of their potential for abuse. UpLift Behavioral Health reserves the right to limit the types of medications that may be prescribed by its doctors and nurse practitioners. All prescriptions furnished by UpLift Behavioral Health care providers are issued in accordance with applicable federal and state law as well as UpLift Behavioral Health policy. I am a graduate of New York University's Master's in Social Work program and have over 25 years of experience in mental health services. Over the years, I have devoted a considerable amount of my professional energy to working with the most underserved and disenfranchised populations among us, while also building my experience with mainstream adults struggling to find their purpose and what brings them the most fulfillment, contentment, and daily happiness. I am a strong proponent of focusing on gratitude and mindfulness and making the most of each day, regardless of circumstances. I look forward to listening to you and understanding you, which is a collaborative process.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

We'll begin with an initial assessment that involves you providing some life history as well as a description of your current symptoms and concerns. We'll work together to identify your treatment goals if you're not immediately sure how to define them. You will be in the driver's seat regarding what you wish to discuss in your sessions and how much feedback you would like. Each person is unique so we will work together to determine what it is that you need from me to make the most progress in meeting your therapy goals.
