Marsha Sue Chase, LMFT

Psychotherapist
PA
Hi. I am Marsha, and I am glad you are here. I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a PhD in Marriage and Family Therapy from Northcentral University. I also hold a Master’s and a Bachelor’s degree from PennWest Edinboro. I have a passion for supporting individuals, couples, and families through recovery from addictions, trauma, and loss while navigating changes and transitions. My approach Through a systemic, strength-based, and trauma-informed approach, including cognitive behavioral therapy and attachment-based therapy, I offer empathy, genuineness, and unconditional positive regard to foster growth and healing. My focus I have enjoyed working with adolescents and their families throughout 10 years of clinical experience and currently support adults and couples experiencing symptoms of anxiety, depression, trauma such as PTSD, and grief and loss. My communication style You will be treated with kindness and respect so that you feel comfortable and safe in this space. This is a process: at first, I am driving the car; then you drive while I serve as the GPS until you no longer need it and feel empowered to take back your life. My journey to mental healthcare I became a therapist to help families stay together even through trauma and hurts. I continue this work because of the joy in witnessing someone have that "ah-ha" moment and flourish. I am so passionate about supporting families that I also facilitate webinars and teach courses on how other therapists can use a trauma-informed approach to support families. My goals for you Goals are set based on what you want to achieve and what you want out of therapy. My first session with you Initially, we will spend time getting to know each other, including questions about you, what brought you to therapy, and what your goals are. If you have questions for me, don’t hesitate to ask.
