She has extensive experience working with individuals who have a history of adverse childhood experiences, difficulty regulating anxiety, attention/hyperactivity symptoms, and who present with partner and parent-child relational problems. She also works with youth who have become involved in the Juvenile Justice System. She provides in-home therapy services to these families and youth who are at risk of re-offending due to unresolved trauma. She was the Clinical Supervisor of Arden Shore Counseling Center and trained and supervised Masters level Clinical Counseling and Doctoral Psychology Practicum Students from Rosalind Franklin and Roosevelt Universities, and other bilingual therapist at the Center. Dr. Angel has been in private practice for over a decade and her treatment approaches include systemic, structural, and cognitive behavioral to facilitate healthy attachment, promote affect regulation, and assist in executive functioning skill development. She is bilingual in Spanish and English and is sensitive and knowledgeable about acculturation issues.
