Martha Marquez, LMHC

Martha Marquez, LMHC

Psychotherapist
FL
I am a mental health counselor licensed in Florida with over 18 years of experience, having worked in a variety of settings and management roles. I earned a bachelor's degree in Psychology from Florida Atlantic University and a Master's in Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University. The primary focus of my practice has been addictions and co-occurring conditions, working with both adolescents and adults to manage all that accompanies substance-related or addictive disorders. However, I have worked with diverse populations and issues and am comfortable supporting clients in individual, family, and group settings. I have helped clients successfully address a wide range of concerns, including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, family conflicts, career challenges, gender identity, and LGBTQI+ matters, to name a few. I have also supported many people who have experienced physical trauma or emotional abuse. My counseling style is warm and interactive. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I do not believe in stigmatizing labels. I practice a blended, technically eclectic model of evidence-based therapies grounded in strengths-based philosophies. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, mindfulness-based cognitive therapy, humanistic, and solution-focused counseling. I tailor our dialogue and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs. It takes courage to seek a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps toward change. If you are ready to take that step, I am here to support and empower you. I look forward to working with you!
