Psychotherapist
IN
Hi there, I'm Martin! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). I have over 5 years of clinical experience working as a trauma-informed therapist for children, adolescents, and adults. I have both my bachelor's and master's degrees in social work. Independently, I run my own psychosocial males group titled Training Boys to Men, which enhances teen males’ ability to succeed academically, socially, and emotionally while incorporating the six domains of character. My approach I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to challenge an individual negative thought process while incorporating a family-systems-based approach to support families and individuals through life transitions and developmental changes. My focus I work with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, self-esteem, familial relationship challenges, and trauma. My communication style I make empathy, authenticity, and transparency high priorities in our conversations. I want the client to feel we are walking through this life journey together. My journey to mental healthcare I am a true believer that we are born with a purpose. I believe I was born with the purpose of helping people navigate the challenges and struggles in life. One of the most rewarding aspects of being a therapist is reflecting on the goals you have accomplished with your clients and embracing the future goals you will achieve together. I see myself as a change agent in this world. Through therapy, I am able to change the lives of one client at a time. My goals for you I believe in a collaborative approach, meaning we will work together to create a plan to reach your goals. My first session with you My approach is client-centered. I will meet you with empathy, open-mindedness, and unconditional positive regard. I am passionate about supporting my clients through challenges to experience healing and growth in their lives.
