Getting to know Martin Young
My goal is to help you make positive changes. Maybe you want some help coping with a difficult situation; maybe you just need to untangle and smooth out knotted and frayed emotions; or maybe you've been diagnosed with a medical or psychiatric condition that creates problems for you-I'm here to listen and to talk, to nudge and to cheerlead as you move forward. Maybe you just need a safe place and another perspective to help you figure out what changes you want to make-that's okay, too! We move at your pace.
I have over 20 years of experience working with people with a variety of presenting concerns. These days, I primarily focus on working with teenagers, adults, and seniors, particularly those coping with depression and/or anxiety, including recovery from various kinds of trauma. I hold a Master's degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of Southern Mississippi.
What should a new client know about working with you?
My goals are that you take away a sense of being supported emotionally, that you gain some insight into or at least information concerning your concerns, and that you get better at using coping skills -- or even just thinking through the difficulties that you face.

More information on payments and coverage
Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
