Martine Lennon, LPC

Psychotherapist
PA
Hi there, I'm Martine! If you have been mentally or emotionally struggling, therapy might be able to help with a therapist who fits your needs. Sometimes talking to someone who is an attentive listener, unbiased, and nurturing can be the first step towards wellness. I am a person-centered therapist who sees you as the expert on yourself and am here to provide support, guidance, and empathy. I work with clients going through life transitions, new or chronic stressors, anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, and relationships. My approach I am here to help you process and navigate stressors and problems, while at the same time also highlighting your strengths and what is going well. I am an integrative therapist and use a lot of techniques and skills depending on what you like and what works for you, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy with a focus on how thoughts, feelings and behavior influence and affect us, how to identify and redirect when our thoughts are unhelpful and exacerbating problems or Dialectical Behavior Therapy which focuses on coping skills and mindfulness, what you can do to help yourself to manage symptoms. I am also a person-centered therapist, which means that you are the one who determines the pace of treatment and what to discuss in sessions. In treatment with me, you can focus on one issue at a time or jump around depending on what is most pressing for you in a given session, I tailor the treatment based on what you need. My focus Do you feel stuck or unhappy? Stressed, anxious, or depressed? My focus is to increase self-esteem and love for yourself, build confidence, and help you discover what you want for yourself and what you can do to get yourself there. You determine what the goals are and the pace of therapy. I am here as a guide to support you and be with you on your journey. I will offer suggestions and practice skills in session, but you determine the path of the journey.
