Mary Alice Sciullo is a New York State Licensed Mental Health Counselor who has been practicing since 2016. She has a Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Pace University. Her great passion is to help you achieve whatever solutions and life changes you are seeking to obtain in therapy. Mary strives to foster growth and assist clients with developing healthy perceptions of themselves, while also strengthening their relationships with others so they can feel more complete, whole, and safe. Mary is a firm believer that building trust and creating a working, therapeutic relationship with you is her best method, but she also utilizes a blend of Psychodynamic Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Solution Focused Therapy in her practice with clients. Mary will be DBT certified (C-DBT) by the end of January 2023. Her approach focuses on mutually developing goals with each client and tailoring her therapeutic approach to meet each client’s needs. Mary has experience working as a Mental Health Counselor with individuals and families in an inpatient psychiatric hospital setting, as well as experience working with individuals and families in skilled nursing facilities. Throughout her career she has worked with a spectrum of people experiencing anxiety, depression, psychosis/thought disorders, mood disorders, end-of-life issues, grief, and adjustment disorders. In her spare time, Mary enjoys exercise and running, listening to music, watching documentaries, and spending time with friends/family.
