Getting to know Mary Beth Fish

I don't expect you to feel comfortable spilling to a complete stranger, so first I'll tell you a little bit about me. I'm a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor and owner of Your Journey Through, PLLC. I founded my private practice in 2016 to empower clients to live a life they love through a modern and relatable therapy experience. I'm passionate about my role as a counselor for teens and young adults and specialize in family dynamic work, including boundaries, relationships, anxiety, transitions, and trauma. I hold dual graduate degrees from Columbia University: a Master's in Mental Health Counseling and an EdM in Psychological Counseling. These degrees allow me to assess, diagnose, and treat social, psychological, and behavioral disorders and illnesses. I earned my bachelor's degree from Wagner College. I have been practicing as a therapist since 2014 in various settings with children, adolescents, and adults. I practice a modern approach to mental health counseling because it resonates with the populations I work with and feels truest to me. As a millennial, I'm committed to making mental health accessible, relatable, and relevant, and you can find me on social media doing just that. I believe in showing up as a human in the room with my clients. I live in downtown Raleigh with my husband, daughter, and rescue pup, Kingston. When I'm not in the office, I'm traveling, enjoying the outdoors, and spending time with family and friends.
