Mary Bol, LICSW

Psychotherapist
WA
I’m so glad you’re here. I’m a therapist with a background in crisis work, and I specialize in supporting first responders and individuals navigating anxiety and depression. My practice is built on compassion, resilience, and a commitment to helping people find stability, strength, and renewed purpose in their lives. My approach My approach is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which focuses on understanding how our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are connected. In our work together, we’ll identify patterns that may be keeping you stuck and develop practical tools to help you manage stress, anxiety, and depression. I strive to create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you can feel heard, challenged, and empowered to make meaningful changes in your life. My focus I work primarily with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, and the effects of chronic stress. Whether you're facing the unique challenges of high-pressure work or navigating personal struggles that feel overwhelming, I’m here to help you build resilience and find relief. My communication style I take a warm, respectful, and collaborative approach to communication. My goal is to create a safe and supportive environment where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered. I strive to balance compassion with clarity—listening deeply, asking thoughtful questions, and offering honest, constructive feedback when appropriate. My journey to mental healthcare I began my career working with children in schools, where I supported students’ emotional and behavioral needs. It was there that I was first drawn into crisis work, often being the one called in during a student’s most difficult moments. I discovered a deep passion and sense of purpose in helping people during times of acute stress and vulnerability. As I continued in this work, I found myself increasingly connected to the experiences of those who respond to crisis every day—first responders, frontline workers, and caregivers.
