I bring over 45 years of experience in clinical social work, having earned my Master’s degree from the University of Maryland in 1980. I work with adults navigating symptoms of depression, anxiety, trauma, and OCD. I believe that while life can bring deep pain, it can also offer opportunities for growth—and that learning to accept change in new ways can be a powerful and healing experience.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My approach to care begins with where you are: what brought you to therapy, what your expectations are at this point, and what you’ve tried in the past. I use traditional psychotherapy to help explore how your current challenges developed, while also incorporating behavioral methods to identify symptom triggers and build healthier coping strategies.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I aim to build a collaborative working relationship where we set goals together and take steps toward achieving them. While expressing emotions can bring temporary relief, lasting change often comes from putting in the effort to shift behaviors. This is what leads to long-term improvement in symptoms.
