My name is Mary (or M.E.) Craven. I am a former Division I student-athlete from Auburn University, where I earned my Bachelor's degree in Psychology with a minor in sport coaching, as well as my MEd in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I am currently a Registered Mental Health Counseling Intern (RMHCI) and an avid supporter of raising mental health awareness. I believe in a holistic and eclectic approach to therapy, addressing physical, emotional, and environmental factors that impact our lives. Whether you are an athlete, child, parent, student, or simply struggling with something life has thrown at you, together we can build a stronger sense of fulfillment in your life. I want to begin by commending you for taking the first steps in your counseling journey by searching for a therapist. I encourage you to reach out to me so we can continue your experience together! My mission is to help clients achieve their goals through individualized counseling and therapy plans. I am dedicated and strive to provide the highest quality of care to my clients. What should a new client know about working with you?

I am passionate about providing support for individuals who are seeking help and being a form of light and hope as their clinician. Everyone needs a space to feel authentic, safe, and heard and I approach all of my sessions with an open mind regarding this aspect of therapy.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I believe in providing individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each client. I work closely with clients to develop tailored goals, treatment plans, and continuously monitor progress. During our initial sessions, we will discuss the issues at hand and develop a collaborative plan for sessions moving forward. I often use talk-therapy integrated with an eclectic range of therapy types in order to match what works best for my clients. We will discuss the most appropriate ways to help you make progress and will work through treatment together.
