Psychotherapist
929 W Belmont Ave, Chicago, IL
Mary D'Arrigo is a mental health clinical trainee working under the supervision of a licensed practitioner. Hello! My name is Mary Claire and prior to counseling, I was a high school teacher. Seeing my students and coworkers struggle ignited my passion to provide mental healthcare for people in high burnout fields, navigating transition periods, and feelings of being overwhelmed. Reaching out for mental healthcare can be an intimidating journey, which is why I strive to create a warm, comfortable space that allows for clients to be their most authentic selves. I enjoy working with teenagers, emerging adults, adults, and couples. My goal with all of my clients is to build a safe, trusting, and healing relationship to allow for growth and increased insight. Throughout sessions, we will work together to build a personalized treatment plan that encompass your mind, body, and spirit in order to create a more integrated self. I have experience working with clients on relationship issues, anxiety, depression, negative body image, anger management, and more. Part of my counseling philosophy includes implementing self-care into various parts of your day, such as drinking enough water or mindful movement. Some of the ways I take care of myself are cooking and breath work! I also like to stay active and spend time outside. I am here to support you on this next step of your mental health journey!
