Mary Lyle Evans is a native of Unicoi County, TN. She graduated from Unicoi County High School before earning both her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Social Work from East Tennessee State University. Mary has built her social work career in the mental health crisis field and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Tennessee. She specializes in trauma and crisis intervention, with a focus on children and adolescents. Mary has extensive experience and education related to childhood disorders such as ODD, ADHD, and Autism. She also has considerable knowledge and practice in diagnosing and treating anxiety and depression. Her background includes work in both outpatient mental health care and inpatient psychiatric settings. Mary's primary passion is to use her expertise to help her patients grow and succeed.
What should a new client know about working with you?
I love learning about new patients and the excitement that they have to grow in therapy. In the first session, we will learn about the goals the patient has as well as areas of growth we can work on together. Sessions will sometimes require deep thought as well as tasks to complete for upcoming sessions. Growth requires change and change is scary. With the proper tools and empowerment, mental health stability can be achieved.

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
