Getting to know Mary Insalaco

Hi there, I'm Mary! My name is Mary Insalaco, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). I have a master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and additional training as a trauma professional and sex therapy. My approach I use tools from different modalities, including compassion, trauma, and emotion-focused, culturally sensitive, strength-based, psychodynamic, mindfulness-based, internal family systems (IFS), and sex therapy. I provide individualized treatment that can help you confidently move forward toward your goals. My focus I see the client in front of me as a unique individual with many strengths and possibilities. I work with clients who may be struggling with depression, anxiety, traumatic pasts, and ADHD that impact their lives. My communication style My approach is primarily based on developing a supportive and safe atmosphere where we can discuss and address sensitive issues. I strive for my clients to feel heard and understood while working together to find the best solutions to help them achieve their therapeutic goals. My journey to mental healthcare I became a therapist to help others overcome difficult and overwhelming traumatic experiences they may have experienced throughout their lives. I continue to do this work because of the amazing people I have met through this work, who have shown me the resilience and strength they have to overcome their struggles and achieve their goals. My goals for you I see therapy as a collaborative, supportive approach where the client leads the way toward the therapeutic goal that matters to them, and I offer them the tools to help them achieve those goals. My first session with you During the first session, we will discuss the expectations and limitations of therapy. You will help me understand your life story and I will answer any questions or concerns you may have about the process.
