Kate brings a wide range of life experiences and a significant depth of education in Imago Relationship theory to her practice, which specializes exclusively in couples relationship therapy. She holds a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Argosy University, a Master’s in Health Promotion Counseling from Trinity Washington University, and a Bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University. In her words, “I promote and respect each partner's individual worldview. My hope is that my couples celebrate the differences that each partner brings to their union. I facilitate a dialogue process that can be incorporated into the couple's relationship toolbox. In trusting the process of dialogue, I find that the couple shifts from distance to connection when they learn the ‘real story’ as to why their partner's behavior or reactive energy occurs.” In her role as a couples’ counselor, Kate is not afraid of conflict. “So bring it on,” she says, “but be assured that all who enter are ‘safe’ when crossing the threshold of my office door.” Kate believes that the investment made in couples therapy, while engaged in the practice of Imago dialogue, brings immediate results of personal and relational insight. Clients are encouraged to integrate this dialogue tool into their parenting, family, and working relationships, ultimately bringing a healing visibility to all.
