Getting to know Mary K Robb
Mary Kate Robb is a licensed clinical social worker who specializes in working with children and with parents on parenting issues. She earned her bachelor's degree in communications from Fairfield University in 2004 and went on to receive a Master’s in Social Work from Fordham University in 2009. Mary Kate is also a yoga teacher, reiki healer, mindfulness meditation instructor, and is trained in EFT tapping. As the founder of The Center, she is dedicated to helping children and parents find their path toward healing and happiness.

Mary Kate has worked with children with Autism, ADHD and Anxiety for the past 15 years. Her vast knowledge of neurodivergent children makes her the perfect therapist for parents that are looking to develop behavior plans, reset the family dynamic, and learn how parent to their child's neurodivergent brain.
Parents will dive deep into how and why they think what they think about their children, and learn how to shift their mindset to be the most effective and supportive parent they can be.
Mary Kate will often add in holistic approaches to the treatment and she offers many relaxation and mindfulness techniques to her clients. And, parents also learn the neuroscience of why these techniques play an important role in transforming their family life and in helping their children.

Mary Kate recommends weekly appointments. Therapy and healing works best when you can commit to weekly sessions for about 8-12 weeks for best results. However, sometimes parents just need help with one thing here and there, and feel so much better when they can get the parenting support they need for just that one baffling moment they had. Mary Kate is here for you for the short term, or the long term.
Remember, The Parent & Child Wellness Center is a SELF-PAY Center. You must be able to pay for session, in full, at the time of the session. We DO NOT TAKE INSURANCE.
They will ask for your credit card prior to your first appointment, so that paying is simple and easy.
HSA cards accepted! Superbills are also provided!

Ongoing session: $195 for 60 minutes

We have been using Mary Kate for 13 years and she has changed our lives for the better. If it were not for her, I'm not sure where our family would be. Mary Kate started working with our family when our son was 3 years old. Her approach with him was very easy for all of us to learn and we all grew by leaps and bounds from Mary Kate's counseling. We have continued to have her work with our 2 sons and me and my husband. Her advice and expertise has always been wise and effective. Mary Kate has a gift with working with children. She knows how to meet them where they are and help them grow in the most gentle ways. She can quickly assess the child and family and has helpful action points from the first meeting.
I highly recommend Mary Kate to anyone who is looking for counseling for their child or themselves.
